Clark Debuts at House of Blues

Clark is pleased to announce its debut performance with the Dave Matthews Cover Band at the House of Blues on Friday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m.

Clark labels itself as a fun, jam-style band that doesn’t really jam all that much; which makes opening for DMCB the perfect fit. Its influences include Dave Matthews Band (ironically), R.E.M., Gomez, Radiohead, Phish and Fishbone.

The band’s wide-range of influence gives it a sound that can only be defined as “exciting.” Clark fuses roots rock, for which DMB is known, with Fishbone’s funkiness and the experimental sounds that put Radiohead and Gomez on the map.

“It is a good time,” says Singer/Songwriter Guy Campbell. “We are enjoying the creative process and allowing each person’s influences to help the songs grow.”

The five-piece band features Campbell on lead vocal, rhythm guitar and the occasional piano; Stephen Bennett on lead guitar and synthesizers; Mike Fahy on bass and trumpet; Brady Dangel on saxophone and Danny Marich on drums.

The band is working on a Web site, <www.whatisClark.com>, and a three-song demo. The demo will feature the uplifting reggae song “Come Along,” the bass-popping funk tune “Fall” and the melancholy “Happy Birthday Anyway.” For more information, contact Campbell at guymohandas@hotmail.com
